🍭Allsorts - 💎 Sparkle and Shine 🤩

This challenge at Allsorts will run for two week, to give you time to Celebrate Christmas AND relax by the crafting table. Kath set the theme to 💎Sparkle and Shine 🤩so I took out my gorgeous golden ribbon roll and made a bow. It's so lovely in itself so I just added a die cut golden border on the embossed background.

We have a £15 voucher from Stamp Addicts for a lucky winner.

Allsorts - Got to be Christmas

It's Saturday so it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Wendy set the theme Got to be Christmas, and right she is :)

I made a clean and simple card with an embossing folder where I inked the inside before embossing the paper so that the lifted pattern still remained white. I stamped the holly in the corners and paper pieced the leaves to get the dimension, and then just a plain square with the sentiment.

We have a lovely Woodware stamp for a lucky winner this week.

Featured Designer for Chocolate Baroque 🍫

I am very proud to have been chosen as Featured Designer for December at We love Chocolate Baroque. The theme is Anything goes so that made it fairly easy :)

I used a stamp from the set Mistletoe Script, stamped it with Versafine Clair Morning Mist and went over the entire image with Distress Ink Bundled Sage and some glimmer mist before I mounted it on kraft paper. I then coloured the leaves and stem with water colours and used a pearlescent white acrylic paint for the berries. The stamps from Chocolate Baroque are very detailed and the edges are sharp so they take ink perfectly. I really enjoy working with them cause it's easy to get a good result.

And for my Swedish friends: Even though Chocolate Baroque is an English company and British Mail is struggling with deliveries during the pandemic, when I ordered some stamps recently I got them in my mail box in roughly a week. Not bad at all 💌

🍭Allsorts - Anything but a card 🍱 with A/G option 🎁

This week it's Tracy setting the challenge at Allsorts and she chose Anything but a card 🍱 with A/G option.

I made a gift box 🎁 using my Silhouette Cameo, cutting our the box in black cardstock. First I thought about putting acetate on the sides to make it look like windows but I settled on design paper. Die cut flowers using the same paper and then went overboard with the pearls :)

I found the cut file here.

Since we are sponsored this week by Chocolate Baroque I decided to make a gift tag as well, using a stamp from the rubber set Tall Trees.

Chocolate Baroque is a small independent art and craft company, based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham in the North-East of England and is owned and run by Lesley Wharton.

We design our own range of natural rubber art stamps from Sue's hand drawn originals, complemented by typography from Lesley.  The rubber stamps are made in house, by David, to our very exacting quality standards. And nothing gets past his eagle eye!

🍭Allsorts - Christmas Flowers 💮 and Wreaths with an Anything Christmas🎄 option

This week Brenda set the theme at Allsorts to Christmas Flowers 💮 and Wreaths with an Anything Christmas🎄 option.

I made a gift tag with white poinsettas and a stamped sentiment on snowflake backing paper. I think this might be the worst photo I've ever taken, have no idea what happened there...

🍭Allsorts - Santa, elves, angels 🎅🧝‍♂️👼

This week Mervi set the theme at Allsorts to Santa 🎅, elves 🧝‍♂️ and/or angels 👼.

I made a card using a santa image I found online here. As backing I used red mirror card and white pearlescent paper. The sentiment die cut is from Nellie Snellen.

Allsorts - Anything goes with a candle, light and all things bright option

This week it is my turn to introduce our next challenge here at Allsorts. Since the days are getting shorter and it darkens quicker I thought it would be fitting to have the theme be: Anything goes with a Candle 🕯️, Light 🔦 and all things Bright 💡 option.

I made a gift bag, decorated with an image from Lili of the Valley, coloured with distress inks, and a stamped sentiment from E-bay. I really love the tiny brads but the jar I bought is almost empty now and it's Stampin´Up, which we don't have here in Sweden, so when they're gone they're gone...

🍭 Allsorts - Lace, real or faux🧵

This week at Allsorts Lynn wants us to use lace 🧵 - real or faux - on our projects so I once again got use of the yards upon yards of lace I bought from my local fabric shop. I made a gift bag (surprise 😜) using a wedding themed design paper and added some flowers, lace and glue dots as decoration. And if you're all out of stock then Anything goes is also fine.

We are sponsored this week by Chocolate Baroque, giving a lucky winner this fantastic stamp:

And if you're not familiar with the company, Chocolate Baroque will have two shows on Hochanda tomorrow, 10 am and 2 pm, which will feature some old favourites, new products and loads of inspiration from Lesley.

A Cheerful Snowman

I made a card using A Cheerful Snowman from the Paper shelter for their challenge Christmas is coming. It's such an adorable image, prints beautifully and so easy to colour.

Allsorts - for a child or a teen

This week at Allsorts the theme is for Children och Teens. I made a gift tag using an image from Lili of the Valley on a background that I made using a Tim Holtz mask and some distress inks and glimmer mist. It's been a long time since I used that tiny retro flower punch but they're quite pretty :).

Our prize this week comes from Craft Stash.

🍭Allsorts - Celebrations🎉🥳

This week at Allsorts Kath has set the theme to Celebrations 🎉🥳, could be a birthday, engagement, anniversary or whatever else you celebrate.

I went with this adorable backing paper with bunnies and made the entire card in beige and light brown. I die cut the tag and the sentiment and the flower spray I made from thin steel wire and rice bead pearls. And of course my go to item, the shimmering water colour medium from Winsor & Newton, brings sparkle to anything, perfect for the flowers (and a tiny splash on the sentiment).

And the prize for a lucky winner this week:

🍭Allsorts - Birthday cake or cupcakes 🍰🧁

This week at Allsorts it's Wendy's turn to set the challenge and she chose Birthday cake or cupcakes, mmmm yummy! 🍰🧁

I used this image from Whiff of Joy, a stamping company that is discontinued I'm afraid, but the mouse is called Henry. The text die is from Py Hobby. It's nice to have these gift tags ready to attach to presents for birthdays and other celebrations.

🍭Allsorts - Winter scene or snow ☃️❄️

This week Tracy set the theme at Allsorts to Winter Scene or Snow ☃️❄️.

I made a background mixing green, blue and black acrylic paint to get the right nuance that I wanted and used a roller brayer to get the right texture. The circle die with the trees was perfect to have the background show on the front but the front was still too white so I used an edge die as well.

Christmas rose

Even though it's only October some shops have started to feature their Christmas items 🎄☃️and I LOVE IT! I absolutely adore Christmas and just cannot get enough of it, eagerly awaiting IKEA's Christmas display that starts on the 9th 😁

So anything goes for me right now is Christmas, therefor I used the stamp Hark the Christmas Rose from Chocolate Baroque and really enjoyed paper piecing it.

I stamped the entire image on kraft paper, then once on water color paper and once on a shimmering white thin paper. On the water color paper I coloured the leaves with distress ink Forest Moss, Crushed Olive and Bundled Sage. And on the shimmering paper I coloured the center of the flowers with some gold water paint from Kuretake Starry Colors. (And in the top left corner you can see a piece of the first kraft paper stamping attempt that I really smudged all over the place. That'll teach me to try to stamp without my stamping buddy 😜.)

Then I mounted them all with tiny foam tape to build up the flower.
I'm entering this in:

🍭Allsorts - Cute Christmas🎄☃️

This week Mervi has set the theme to Cute Christmas 🎄☃️over at Allsorts. I have two projects today, one gift box using paper from our sponsor Pinksy Doodles and one Christmas card.

The gift box is made using a template called Tucked Away using white cardstock and design paper from Pinksy Doodles, flowers from IamRoses and ribbon from the local flower shop.

And a card using an image from Whiff of Joy, a stamping company that unfortunately went out of business in 2015 but I found the image on Pinterest. The edge punch is Martha Stewart.

A lucky winner will get

🍭Allsorts - Autumn colours🍁🍃

Time for Brenda to set the challenge for Allsorts and she wants us to use Autumn colours 🍁🍃.

I made a gift bag (surprising isn't it 😊) using some vintage design paper from Prima, along with some flowers and thin lace ribbon. Long ago, my local fabric shop had this lace on sale by weight so I bought countless yards for pennies and it has lasted me for years.

Sometimes when I make the gift bags I make handles 👜, sometimes I'm lazy 🦥 (cause it takes longer to do the handles on the bag) so I use a clothes pin for closing the bag. This was a clothes pin moment.

And once again I wish I could enter the challenge cause we have a gorgeous set of embossing folders from Tattered Lace for a lucky winner.

🍭Allsorts - My lovely garden 👩‍🌾🌻

Good morning all, it is my time to set the challenge at Allsorts for this week. I would like you to be inspired by your own - or someone elses - lovely garden 👩‍🌾🌻🥕, it could be flowers, trees or something else grown in the garden.

I used an image that I had laying around, printed from the internet way back at the dawn of time. I recently bought a rubber roller so I used that to add some sparkling pink acrylic paint to cardstock, on top of a stencil. The paint bleed through the stencil and gave it a very scruffy and vintage feel. I really like the finish so I just added a bow and some pearls. The ribbon looks very shiny in the picture but is in fact the same colour as the acrylic paint :).

We have of course a fitting prize for a lucky winner this week.

I haven't been able to find the origin of the image on my card but I have it here:

A challenge entry - first in ages

Well, I haven't entered any challenges in ages but when I saw that there's a new challenge blog on the block - well, not exactly new since it's the "old" Penny Black and More-blog, but in co-operation with the Chocolate Baroque, who has the loveliest stamps, I just couldn't resist.

Their challenge this month is Things with wings or anything goes. So I made a couple of gift tags for Christmas - it's closer than we think ;) - and used one of the birds from the Wise Owl set. I stamped one in black and one in rich cocoa and distressed the edges with distress ink Vintage Photo, die cut the tag (masking of the tail of the bird) and mounted the tag on kraft paper. The cardstock for the sentiment is coloured with distress ink Festive Berries.

So here it is, my challenge entry for We Love Chocolate Baroque

Allsorts challenge blog: Allsorts 581/582 - Flowers all Over
Wednesday 9th September will see an exciting new release of stamps from Chocolate Baroque on a Hochanda One Day Special launching at 5pm.

🍭Allsorts - going round in circles ⭕

We are back to weekly challenges at Allsorts and this week Kath set the theme to Circles ⭕. I made a card with an image from Hanglar, a Swedish stamp brand that is unfortunately discontinued but you might still find stamps on E-bay. I used kraft paper as a base and put die cut circles from design paper on it. The scroll is stamped and cut from kraft paper too, but I added some distress ink to it to get the old feel of it.

We have a pretty stamp for a lucky winner this week.

🍭Allsorts - summer fun ☀️

This time at Allsorts, Wendy set this challenge to Summer fun ☀️, and it will last for two weeks. I used a pirate image from Magnolia and a stamped and fuzzy cut banner that will hold the name of the recipient later on. Being a grandma of two lovely boys the summer is mostly fun and games so I figured a boy pirate was just perfect. 🏴‍☠️

Our sponsor this time is Chocolate Baroque with this lovely stamp.
