🎄ABC Christmas February ☃️

 I have been asked to join the Design Team at the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and being a Christmas kinda gal I jumped at the opportunity. Thank you ladies for having me! 

So, here is the challenge for February: C is for Clean and Simple and D is for Distressing. And with a little prize from Wilma for a lucky winner.

I made two contributions:

A CAS tag with a background made with alcohol inks and just decorated with a silver snowflake.

And a card with a computer generated sentiment where I crumbled the paper and distressed it with distress ink Old Paper.

Pink baby card and a cut file

 The family is now slowly resurfacing after battling Omikron, so we can now say that's been properly dealt with. 

Today's creation is a card for a new baby. It has a very vintage feel to it and I am a fan of that :). I die cut mats for the image and for the backing paper from silver card (cause I couldn't find a matching cardstock in green or pink, isn't it funny how much cardstock you can have and still miss the colour you want...)

And I flipped my craft room Kallax shelf so that I can have my precious machines on a neat row now. 

I made a cut file for the Cameo machine and I have it here if you want to use it.

Allsorts - Vintage

Time for another challenge at Allsorts. This time with a Vintage-theme, just up my alley :)

I made a tag using a LotV-image, maybe it will come in handy when my nephew and his girlfriend have their baby in August :)

There are some lovely dies from Marianne Design up for grabs so hurry over and join in.

Allsorts - Vintage

Morning,
this week at Allsorts is a personal favourite cause the challenge is Vintage. It can sometimes be a bit tricky to distinguish between vintage and shabby chic but at Allsorts we´re not picky ;)

I altered a napkin holder that I found in a thrift shop, covered it with paper from Maja Design and covered it with flowers. I forgot to take a before-picture but it had a moose cut out on both sides, that's why I put cover paper on the inside as well :)

Remake of an old wooden chest

Found this wooden chest in a thrift shop for £8, I liked the size and the overall quality of it, but not how it looked.

 

So I painted it white and dabbed the edges with distress ink Walnut Stain, spray painted the metal details with a copper spray and added a French label from The Graphics Fairy and now it's a lot more me :)

 

Allsorts - Early Christmas

Morning,
the challenge at Allsorts this week is Early Christmas. Yepp, you heard us, high time to get those santas out :)

I used a Hanglar image and made a vintage style Christmas card. The card has no inside, it has a tag on the back, on which you can write your greeting.

Allsorts - spring blossoms

Saturday means a new challenge at Allsorts and this time the theme is: Spring blossoms.
I took some ordinary easter eggs, painted them with home-made gesso and added lots and lots of flowers.

This is how the eggs looked in original:

And this is the recipe for home-made gesso:
1/4 cup of baby talcum powder
1 tablespoon of white glue
1 tablespoon of white acrylic paint

Morning all,

Allsorts - Vintage

Morning all,
there's a vintage challenge starting at Allsorts today and we are sponsored by Digidarla and Flonzcraft so I decided to use the  Anime girl from Flonzcraft for my contribution.Brown and blue is a favourite colour combo and I think kraft paper and the rose lace make projects feel very vintage.

At Stampin for the Weekend a new challenge launches today and it's called Fairies and Fantasy.
I used an image from Sandra Kuck and stamps from Stempelglede (the corners) and from LotV (the music sheet).

Scrap och Ting - bröllopsväska

Hejsan, 

dags för ett nytt inspirationsalster för Scrap och Ting. Den här gången har jag gjort en resväska med bröllopstema. Magnolias Vintage Wedding-stämpel är alldeles underbar och jag tycker jättemycket om den. Den är färglagd med Distress markers i mjuka toner. Även designpapperet är Magnolia (With Love) precis som den swirl-die du ser skymta bakom fjädern.

Time for a new project for Scrap och Ting. This time a wedding suitcase using the Magnolia Vintage Wedding stamp. The below pictures are rather explanatory on how to do the suitcase. Watch out for the DIY cardstock roses at the end of the post!

 
När jag gjorde väskan mätte och bigade jag för två vanliga askar och fäste ihop dem i bakkant. På så vis fick jag två lika stora väskdelar men i ett stycke.

Jag limmade sedan mönsterpapper på de delar du ser nedan.

När jag sedan limmat fast alla flikar är väskan i princip klar.

För att locket ska sitta bättre mot underdelen satte jag en kartongbit i samma storlek som underdelen, det blir en kant som gör att delarna fäster ihop bra när man stänger väskan.

En resväska blir ju inte komplett utan de små hörnen. De tillverkade jag av utstansade cirklar som jag vek enligt bilden nedan.

Handtaget placerade jag mitt emellan övre och nedre väskdelen men limmade bara fast i locket. 

Och avslutningsvis en liten närbild på egenhändigt ihopknåpade rosor av cardstock. De har jag lärt mig göra via min DT-kompis Ankis blogg :)
