🍭Allsorts - 💎 Sparkle and Shine 🤩

This challenge at Allsorts will run for two week, to give you time to Celebrate Christmas AND relax by the crafting table. Kath set the theme to 💎Sparkle and Shine 🤩so I took out my gorgeous golden ribbon roll and made a bow. It's so lovely in itself so I just added a die cut golden border on the embossed background.

We have a £15 voucher from Stamp Addicts for a lucky winner.

Allsorts - Got to be Christmas

It's Saturday so it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Wendy set the theme Got to be Christmas, and right she is :)

I made a clean and simple card with an embossing folder where I inked the inside before embossing the paper so that the lifted pattern still remained white. I stamped the holly in the corners and paper pieced the leaves to get the dimension, and then just a plain square with the sentiment.

We have a lovely Woodware stamp for a lucky winner this week.

Featured Designer for Chocolate Baroque 🍫

I am very proud to have been chosen as Featured Designer for December at We love Chocolate Baroque. The theme is Anything goes so that made it fairly easy :)

I used a stamp from the set Mistletoe Script, stamped it with Versafine Clair Morning Mist and went over the entire image with Distress Ink Bundled Sage and some glimmer mist before I mounted it on kraft paper. I then coloured the leaves and stem with water colours and used a pearlescent white acrylic paint for the berries. The stamps from Chocolate Baroque are very detailed and the edges are sharp so they take ink perfectly. I really enjoy working with them cause it's easy to get a good result.

And for my Swedish friends: Even though Chocolate Baroque is an English company and British Mail is struggling with deliveries during the pandemic, when I ordered some stamps recently I got them in my mail box in roughly a week. Not bad at all 💌

🍭Allsorts - Anything but a card 🍱 with A/G option 🎁

This week it's Tracy setting the challenge at Allsorts and she chose Anything but a card 🍱 with A/G option.

I made a gift box 🎁 using my Silhouette Cameo, cutting our the box in black cardstock. First I thought about putting acetate on the sides to make it look like windows but I settled on design paper. Die cut flowers using the same paper and then went overboard with the pearls :)

I found the cut file here.

Since we are sponsored this week by Chocolate Baroque I decided to make a gift tag as well, using a stamp from the rubber set Tall Trees.

Chocolate Baroque is a small independent art and craft company, based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham in the North-East of England and is owned and run by Lesley Wharton.

We design our own range of natural rubber art stamps from Sue's hand drawn originals, complemented by typography from Lesley.  The rubber stamps are made in house, by David, to our very exacting quality standards. And nothing gets past his eagle eye!
