Allsorts - hand coloured image

First a little teaser for our belated Birthday celebration next week. But for this week Ellie wants you to use a hand coloured image with a chance to win this gorgeous stamp from Chocolate Baroque.

Allsorts challenge blog: Allsorts 581/582 - Flowers all Over
Wednesday 9th September will see an exciting new release of stamps from Chocolate Baroque on a Hochanda One Day Special launching at 5pm.

I used an image from Hanglar, a Swedish stamp company, unfortunately retired. Coloured it with distress inks Scattered Straw and Pumice Stone.

🍭Allsorts - going round in circles ⭕

We are back to weekly challenges at Allsorts and this week Kath set the theme to Circles ⭕. I made a card with an image from Hanglar, a Swedish stamp brand that is unfortunately discontinued but you might still find stamps on E-bay. I used kraft paper as a base and put die cut circles from design paper on it. The scroll is stamped and cut from kraft paper too, but I added some distress ink to it to get the old feel of it.

We have a pretty stamp for a lucky winner this week.

🍭Allsorts - Make it Masculine 🧔

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts and Tracy chose the theme Masculine 🧔. I used a stamp from a set from Winnie and Walter and embossed some swirl corners with a shiny embossing powder called Peanut. Clean and simple and quite fitting for a male card I think.

We have a lovely stamp called Harmony Tree from Chocolate Baroque for a lucky winner.

Chocolate Baroque will be showcasing some exciting new stamps on Hochanda TV on Tuesday 4th August. Lesley will also be on our screens on Sunday 16th August with a new Craftalong, the kit for that show is available to purchase with a £5 discount from Hochanda here.

🍭Allsorts - flowers all over 💐

This week at Allsorts Mervi has set the theme to 💐Flowers all over💐. A very suitable theme for this time of year, and to give you some extra time to create - and the DT some well deserved vacation - this challenge will last for two weeks.

I made a gift bag with a vase of flowers on the design paper and with some extra flowers to decorate with. The little clothes pin, to close the bag, has the same design paper to match. I traced the sentiment with a brown pen to make it show more.

For a lucky winner we are sponsored by Chocolate Baroque with this gorgeous stamp:

🍭Allsorts - Summertime 🌞🕶️⛱️

It is once again my turn to introduce this week's challenge at Allsorts. And since we're entering the month of July I thought it suitable to set the theme to Summertime 🌞🕶️⛱️.
I made a gift tag with die cut flowers, cat tails and butterflies. It's a bit different to have the flowers fairly flat cause usually when I use the daisy die from Sizzix I put at least two flowers together and curl the petals a lot but this worked fairly well also 🌼. Looking at the photo I regret not using a more brown cardstock for the cat tails to make them pop but they're securely glued on so it can't be remedied 😇

For a lucky winner we have a gorgeous stamp from our sponsor this week:

Lady in Hat cling mounted rubber stamp - Chocolate Baroque
Chocolate Baroque is a small independent art and craft company, based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham in the North-East of England and is owned and run by Lesley and David Wharton.

Lesley will be sharing a new and very exciting collection of stamps on Hochanda TV on Tuesday 7th July at 10am and 3pm, these are something really different and you won't want to miss out.

We design our own range of natural rubber art stamps from Sue's hand drawn originals, complemented by old original drawings and typography from Lesley.  The rubber stamps are made in house, by David, to our very exacting quality standards. And nothing gets past his eagle eye!

Allsorts - So cute

This week at Allsorts the theme is So cute, an easy one :) I used this old Magnolia image, coloured with Distress ink Broken China and Pumice Stone and I put some Diamond Stickles on the wings to make them shine a bit extra. A bunch of flowers and nothing extra since I love the colour of the background paper and wanted it to show. The center of the daisy is bright orange in original but that was not what I was going for so I painted it with white acrylic.

🍭Allsorts - Pets🐶🐱

This week at Allsorts Ellie chose the theme 🐹 Pets 🐰, so let's see those projects featuring our furry friends. I chose the adorable dog Patch from Lili of the Valley, coloured with distress ink Frayed Burlap and placed it on a die cut background that I coloured with a mix of Distress ink Tumbled Glass and Perfect Pearls. The colours went well with the vintage note paper and the turqouise bow. The die cut notes are glossed to get some extra texture.

Today is my grandson's third birthday so celebrations are in order. And four days later it's his little brother's first birthday. Bad planning from the parents I would say ;)

Allsorts - embossing

This week at Allsorts Kath set the theme to Embossing, wet or dry.
So I made a white card with white butterflies 🦋, and embossed some swirls in the corners. The butterflies are from Ebay, the swirl stamp is a favourite from Stempelglede. The jury is still out on the golden pearl-dot on the butterflies 🤔 but it's dry now so it can't be helped :)

Postal service is still sparse in the UK so no prize to be shipped this week.

🍭Allsorts - summer sunshine 🌞

Morning, this week Wendy set the theme on Allsorts to summer sunshine, main colour yellow 🟡.

I made a card (that looks more orange than yellow so you'll have to take my word for it when I blame the light in the photo) using some fresh flower paper, made a double belly band with punched edges and a big ribbon bow. A nice card for an early summer event such as a graduation 😉

Allsorts - 🧚🏻‍♂️ magical words 🧞‍♀️

This week at Allsorts it's time to be inspired by 🧝🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️ Magical words 🧚🏻‍♂️🧞‍♀️.
So I made a card and matching tag using some fairy clear stamps picked up on E-bay. Lightly coloured and glossed as focal point, didn't think it needed more decoration. They are really adorable.

Allsorts - Gingham, stripes and dots

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts and due to the current covid 19-situation we still can't send out any prizes so we are saving those for later, we do hope you understand and feel like joining in our challenge anyway.
This week the theme is gingham, stripes and/or dots. I made a gift bag with dotted design paper as background. Cut out the name Eddie on my Silhouette Cameo and added some flowers, lace and a bow. It was supposed to be for my younger grandson's christening but it had to be postponed due to the Corona-situation, we'll see when that ceremony can take place (I'm a bit worried for the dress, a family heirloom worn for generations and he's growing every day...)
But that's how the world is right now and christened or not, he'll be fine :)

🍭 Allsorts - Anything goes

Today we had planned a special challenge, running for a fortnight, with lots of prizes to celebrate our 11th Birthday. However, given the current Global situation we really feel that isn't appropriate, and then there's the question of posting prizes off which is very hard at the moment. So we are saving the prizes and can hopefully do something special later in the year.

Instead, Brenda set the theme to

********Anything Goes********

so as my DT project I will show you a set of gift bags that I made for a pair of guest coaches we had for our chorus. No flowers at all since I didn't want the bags to be too bulky for them to put in their hand luggage flying home, but music notes and swirls and I couldn't resist the butterflies :).

Allsorts - Butterflies 🦋

It is my turn to host the challenge at Allsorts and since we have now entered the month of May I figured it would be suitable to have a Butterfly 🦋 theme. I made a gift bag, using butterfly dies from ebay (the hearts are actually cutouts from the butterfly wings), some lace and flowers. To close the bag I used a mini clothes pin, covered with the same design paper as on the bag.

A lucky winner will get a £15 gift voucher from our sponsor

🍭Allsorts - Add a touch of gold or silver 🥇🥈

This week at Allsorts Ellie wants you to add a touch of gold 🥇or silver 🥈to your projects. I think I went all in and added more than a touch of gold 🤪 but I'm quite pleased with the sparkly result.

All it took was some ribbon, a die from E-bay and golden gift wrapping paper.
We have a stamp from Rare Earth for a lucky winner this week.

Allsorts - Something new

Morning all,
first challenge at Allsorts for 2017 and Mervi set the theme to Something new. Little did I know just how suiting that would turn out to be...
Presenting to you the poem I got for Christmas from my older daughter, roughly translated: Dear mum, you're gonna be a grandma at the end of June. The last line - in my body, beloved mum, there are two hearts beating - brings me to tears every time, seriously every time! So I wanted to make it into a keepsake, using a paperpack from Lemoncraft I got from my best friend and a new butterfly die that I bought two of, one for me and one for my bestie :)

The prize this week comes from Tattered Lace so you join too with something new (wow, rhyme, impressive, hehe)

Allsorts - Sparkle

The theme at Allsorts this week is Sparkle. A great theme but always really hard to take good photos of, I'm sure you can all relate to that :). If anyone has a great solution, please do tell!
I made a gift tag using the cute Magnolia baby and with lots of bling all over. Hopefully some of it shows at least. It's a double tag with a sentiment and space for a personal greeting on the back one.

Allsorts - anything but a card

The theme at Allsorts this week is Anything but a card and I'm the host this week. You know I love paper folding, altering and making all sorts of boxes so the theme isn't very surprising, coming from me :).
I bought some plain book boxes a while back and have painted and decorated one for this week.

Allsorts - Add a frame

The theme at Allsorts this week is Add a frame. A fun theme that you can interpret in many ways, just look at the clever DT projects on the challenge blog. I decided to both frame the LotV-image and the sentiment. Never to early to start on the Christmas cards :).

Allsorts - Boys

The theme at Allsorts this week is For the boys. I decided to make a tuxedo card, found the template here. First I thought about somehow adding a ribbon since we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons but this time it just didn't fit :).
