Allsorts - for a child or a teen

This week at Allsorts the theme is for Children och Teens. I made a gift tag using an image from Lili of the Valley on a background that I made using a Tim Holtz mask and some distress inks and glimmer mist. It's been a long time since I used that tiny retro flower punch but they're quite pretty :).

🍭Allsorts - Celebrations🎉🥳

This week at Allsorts Kath has set the theme to Celebrations 🎉🥳, could be a birthday, engagement, anniversary or whatever else you celebrate.

I went with this adorable backing paper with bunnies and made the entire card in beige and light brown. I die cut the tag and the sentiment and the flower spray I made from thin steel wire and rice bead pearls. And of course my go to item, the shimmering water colour medium from Winsor & Newton, brings sparkle to anything, perfect for the flowers (and a tiny splash on the sentiment).

And the prize for a lucky winner this week:

🍭Allsorts - Birthday cake or cupcakes 🍰🧁

This week at Allsorts it's Wendy's turn to set the challenge and she chose Birthday cake or cupcakes, mmmm yummy! 🍰🧁

I used this image from Whiff of Joy, a stamping company that is discontinued I'm afraid, but the mouse is called Henry. The text die is from Py Hobby. It's nice to have these gift tags ready to attach to presents for birthdays and other celebrations.

🍭Allsorts - Winter scene or snow ☃️❄️

This week Tracy set the theme at Allsorts to Winter Scene or Snow ☃️❄️.

I made a background mixing green, blue and black acrylic paint to get the right nuance that I wanted and used a roller brayer to get the right texture. The circle die with the trees was perfect to have the background show on the front but the front was still too white so I used an edge die as well.

We have a lovely stamp set for a lucky winner

Christmas rose

Even though it's only October some shops have started to feature their Christmas items 🎄☃️and I LOVE IT! I absolutely adore Christmas and just cannot get enough of it, eagerly awaiting IKEA's Christmas display that starts on the 9th 😁

So anything goes for me right now is Christmas, therefor I used the stamp Hark the Christmas Rose from Chocolate Baroque and really enjoyed paper piecing it.

I stamped the entire image on kraft paper, then once on water color paper and once on a shimmering white thin paper. On the water color paper I coloured the leaves with distress ink Forest Moss, Crushed Olive and Bundled Sage. And on the shimmering paper I coloured the center of the flowers with some gold water paint from Kuretake Starry Colors. (And in the top left corner you can see a piece of the first kraft paper stamping attempt that I really smudged all over the place. That'll teach me to try to stamp without my stamping buddy 😜.)

Then I mounted them all with tiny foam tape to build up the flower.

🍭Allsorts - Cute Christmas🎄☃️

This week Mervi has set the theme to Cute Christmas 🎄☃️over at Allsorts. I have two projects today, one gift box using paper from our sponsor Pinksy Doodles and one Christmas card.

The gift box is made using a template called Tucked Away using white cardstock and design paper from Pinksy Doodles, flowers from IamRoses and ribbon from the local flower shop.

And a card using an image from Whiff of Joy, a stamping company that unfortunately went out of business in 2015 but I found the image on Pinterest. The edge punch is Martha Stewart.

A lucky winner will get
