Bright and sunny butterflies

Today I'm showing a card with a home made background. I used distress oxides in orange and yellow and stamped the text in light red to get more action on the paper. The two butterflies are die cut from white card stock and everything is mounted on a gold mirror card.

Challenges:

Allsorts - bright and sunny colours
Try it on Tuesday - butterfly
Welovechocolatebaroque - bright sunny colours

Bunnycard

Today I have a greeting card using an image from Anita Jeram, stamped on white card and die cut with a circle die, except for the balloon that I masked off and fussy cut by hand. The background is distress oxides in purple and blue put with a brayer on a gelli plate and transferred to white cardstock. The die cut sentiment Grattis is Swedish for congratulations.

Challenges:
Water cooler Wednesday - all about occasions
Addicted to stamps - die cuts or stencils

Corset card holder

Today I have made a paper corset, using paper from Tim Holtz, some pretty lace, ribbon and a music notes die. There is room to place a greeting card in the corset but it's rather personal so I took it out for the photo 😊 It looks very intricate but the template is actually rather easy to follow. I bought mine here but I have found it floating around Pinterest as well.

I am entering in the following challenges:

The paper shelter - Shaped card
Fab´n´Funky - embellish it
Try it on Tuesday - Make it feminine
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
Water cooler Wednesday challenge - All things feminine
Crafty Gals corner - For the ladies

Never thought I'd like orange

I never thought I would like using orange in my crafting, but I obviously do cause I've discovered more than one finished project in my collection with bright and warm orange colours. Go figure 😊

I bought this lovely autumn themed stamp set on wish.com

and made a colour splashed background, stamped the pine cones and added a ribbon. The sentiment is from the same set.
And I used some of my Lavinia stamps to make a scene with distress oxides Ripe Persimon and Fossilized Amber. Then I went to town with my Posca pens in white and gold.

Flower stamp

Today I have two different makes of the same stamp. I got this stamp from wish.com and I'm really pleased with the size - 13 cm tall. So the first one I stamped, coloured with distress ink Tumbled Glass, and fussy cut onto blue design paper and then I used my label maker to create the sentiment.

The second one is a gift bag, coloured with distress ink Candied Apple and Festive Berries. Edge punch from Martha Stewart and a gold ribbon to finish it off.
I used to punch holes and thread the ribbon through back and front panel to close the bag but nowadays I glue small magnets on the insides of the bag and fasten the ribbon on the outside for decoration. That way it is easier for the recipient to open and close the gift bag :)

Birthday

Today is my mum's birthday so I'll show you some birthday creations:

The first one is a card using a background stamp from Chocolate Baroque and a die cut sentiment. When the distress ink was dry I painted the leaves with a mix of perfect pearls and water. Hopeless to take photos of but you get the general idea.
And next one is a gradient background made with shimmering water colours and stamped with cat tails and a sentiment.

💙 Blue and purple💜

 Morning,

this card, using a Lavinia stamp and a hand written sentiment on distressed and glimmer misted background I gave to my youngest grand child since he is really fascinated by the moon right now.

In the same colour scale I also have a card where the image from Chocolate Baroque was very suitable for a tall card. I really like this card shape, envelopes are a bitch though 😜

No more DT assignments

I have been told to leave the Design Teams of both Allsorts and We love Chocolate Baroque due to the fact that I am not active enough when it comes to replying to e-mails and comments and not compliant enough about rules and sponsor changes. All fair enough. I am totally to blame. Against better knowledge I accepted the position on We Love Chocolate Baroque and soon realized that I was not well suited for this due to the specific demands that are so separate from Allsorts. So I freaked out and instead of doing the proper thing, which would have been to immediately step down from WLCB in January, I hung in there. Trying to cope. Feeling that every comment on all DT blogs, both WLCB and Allsorts, was directed specifically to me. Not replying but instead trying to change and do better. Failing miserably.

So the decision to kick me off the teams was a proper one, I haven't been a great team member at all. I've been stressed and nervous and I have checked and double checked everything and still managed to get it all wrong.

So I will just post all the work I've made - yes all DT samples for 2021 are made already 😊, but a few at a time and in a random order not to reveal any challenge themes ahead of time out of respect for my former DT teams.

So first out are these three:

A Lavinia stamp on a background made with Distress Oxides.

A scene made with Chocolate Baroques stamp sheet Wild Meadow and Distress Oxides.
And finally a Rick St Dennis digi image on a background made with a butterfly stamp and a gelli plate.

Sunshine challenge 🔆

There's a new challenge blog called River of Creativity where all kinds of creations are welcome. I really like that idea, to not be locked to a single stamp or brand, just like Allsorts challenge - which is why I've been faithful to that challenge blog for many, many years now :)

So River of Creativity has a new challenge once a month and the first one is 🔆Sunshine. 🌞

So to enter the challenge I made a pillow box, starting with a white cardstock that I coloured with distress oxides in Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber, then I used a silk stencil and dabbed on some gold acrylic paint. I then only needed to add the ribbon.

This is the silk stencil I used, I think it's Martha Stewart.

We Love Chocolate Baroque - Bright Sunny Colours 😎

Welcome to a new month with We Love Chocolate Baroque where the theme is Bright Sunny Colours 🌞. A lucky winner will be able to select an A4 stamp sheet or stamps to the same value from Chocolate Baroque, a small independent art and craft company based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham in the North-East of England and is owned and run by Lesley Wharton.

I made a background from Distress oxides Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber and Abandoned Coral and splashed some gold paint as well. I stamped the butterfly from Chocolate Baroque Tangled Garden and coloured it with distress inks in the same colours.

🍭 Allsorts - Flowers 💐

This week at 🍭 Allsorts the theme is Flowers 💐. I used a flower frame from Pinksy Doodles. Cut it out from glitter wrapping paper using my Silhouette Cameo and mounted it on a background made with distress inks in red and purple.

Prize this week:

Chocolate Baroque limited edition Fragrant Honeysuckle and Butterfly Tree
