Friendly card

I made a card using a stamp from the set Floral Spray by Clearly Besotted, die cut with the coordinating die and coloured with distress inks in blue and green. I paper pieced the dotted paper and die cut the focal sentiment.

It's really warm and sunny at the moment, warmer than we usually have up here in May, and I figured it would be a good day to take pictures but still this photo turned out rather dark and dull. There is actually some gold on the buds and flower centers and some sparkling dust on the rose...

Challenges:

Happy little stampers watercolor challenge - A/G, optional flowers
Crafting Happiness - A/G, optional flowers
Allsorts - A/G
Get Creative Challenge - Flower frenzy
Use your stuff - technique (die cut, paper piecing, water coloring)
Simon says stamp Monday - watercolor
Avenue 613 - A/G, option say it with flowers

ABC Christmas - J and K

It's time for a new challenge at ABC Christmas and it's my time to host it. The theme is J for Jingle Bells and K for Kissing.

I chose J for Jingle Bells with this adorable little robot holding a tiny bell, the sentiment is computer generated. I noticed that I seem to have a theme going on here, with masking the image off and smudging Distress Ink Pumice Stone around the image. It's make it pop nicely.

The prize for a lucky winner is two Christmas inspired images from Fizzy Moon.

ABC Christmas - H and I

Gosh, time flies... It's time for a new challenge at ABC Christmas with H for Houses and I for Indoors. I went for H for House and used this adorable bird house from Milybloom. After coloring the image with distress inks I masked it and lightly brushed on some grey ink to make the white pop. I also put some puffy snow on the roof.

Helen is hosting and she has this amazing prize for a lucky winner:

ABC Christmas - E, F, G

 Hi all,

time for a new challenge at ABC Christmas, this time it's:

E for Elves
F for Food
G for Gold

Lots of great options and I'll probably do more than one this month. But I'll start with G for Gold.

A gorgeous poinsetta from Power Poppy, coloured with distress inks and some gold watercolor for the berries. The gold backing is an adhesive paper meant for kitchen tiles :)

Lynda is hosting the March challenge so hurry over and see what's on offer.

ABC Christmas - C and D

For February the theme at ABC Christmas is C for Checks and D for Die Cuts and is hosted by Lynda.

I used only die cuts to create my contribution; the red mirror background, the poinsetta and the leaves.

So hop on over to our challenge site and join in.

2022 year in review

Realizing that I haven't posted more than a couple of crafts per month this entire year I decided to make a top 5 instead of a favourite per month. And I'm participating in Ellibelle's Year in Review 2022 blog hop.

So, my top 5 for 2022 is:

It has been a good crafting year, but I have used the sewing maching a lot more than the paper crafting table, let's see what kind of mojo 2023 brings...

CAS gift bag

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got exactly what you wished for. I wished for my children and grandchildren to be healthy, happy and home for Christmas and I got all my wishes granted 💕.

Today I have a small gift bag, using just a cherry blossom branch coloured with distress inks, clean and simple. I really like giving gifts in hand made gift bags, then the receiver can give the gift bag on to someone else, a sort of "pay it forward-situation" 😊

Challenges:

Allsorts - CAS
Dare2Bartzy - CAS
Lilpatchofcraftyfriends - A/G
CAS on Friday - Christmas
AAAcards - non traditional Christmas colors
