It's been a long time since I made a photo layout, but for this challenge at Allsorts - Autumn colours - I had to give it a go since the photos I chose already had the colours desired :). Distressed die cut leaves was all I needed, I'm not really a fan of the bulgy layout pages that makes closing the album nearly impossible.
Top picture is my mum, her mum and my dad's mum (I can never get my head around the fact that you in English have the same name for them, we have a word for mother's mother and another word for father's mother, to avoid confusion). Bottom picture is my younger sister, one of my cousins and myself.
Once again we are sponsored by Tattered Lace, this time with some amazing embossing folders, so good luck to you all!

Wonderful Helene. Makes sense to have different names, that is why I am Nana and Hollies other one is Granny, to avoid confusion. My Mum has always been Granny to my boys nd MIL was Nana. xx
What a pretty page layout Helene, and how perfect the colors of the photos are for the theme! I don't like bulky pages either, I don't scrapbook anymore, but I was always worried about ruining the pictures from too many embellishments, so I used to keep them simple as well.
A lovely way to keep memories of loved ones Helene and the colours are perfect for this weeks theme. Here in the UK we call Mother's Mum our maternal Grandmother and Father's Mum Paternal Grandmother, although few people use that term so then it does become confusing as you rightly say.
