Allsorts- brown and blue

An especially good morning to you all since Christmas holiday has started for me =)
At Allsorts we have a colour combo challenge for you and it will run for two weeks, great isn't it. That way the design team will get a short, but well earned, break as well.

The colour combo is brown and blue and I used the image Dot in winter from Digi Darla, one of our sponsors this challenge.

Allsorts - anything but Christmas

For you who noticed my blooper last week, here is the post due for today ;)

Time for a challenge at Allsorts and the theme is Anything but Christmas. Well, you know how I like my boxes so I made a suitcase gift box.

And on another note (no pun intended), this evening is the Christmas concert with my chorus Snowflake Singers. One show this evening and one tomorrow. Over 600 tickets sold to each performance. Wish us luck! :)

GDT for Cute Card Thursday

This week Rick is sponsoring a challenge at Cute Card Thursday and I have made a GDT project for that challenge, using the Ballerina Princess Bear rubber stamp. The image is coloured with distress markers and lots and lots of glitter glue. I adore this stamp, and it is even possible to get as a set with six different - but equally cute - bears so that you can make correlating projects. The set is called Bears set #1

Scrap och Ting - syskrin

dags igen att blogga för Scrap och Ting och jag har idag gjort ett syskrin. Mallen till det köpte jag här.

Jag använde de fantastiska papperen från Maja Design, rosor och några brads. Bradsen hade fel färg men det gjorde inget för jag tryckte dem mot en embossingdyna och doppade sedan i embossingpulver så hade jag löst det problemet :)

Som grund för skrinet använde jag vit cardstock, bra och stabilt papper att arbeta med.

The silver linings of teaching!

Today we had presentations about USA in class 8B and what a wonderful experience that was!
Well prepared students with interesting topics and the fluncy in this group is amazing!!! On a scale from 1-5 I rated all students 4 or 5. A sheer joy to enjoy and today I'm a very, very proud old teacher.

And one can only bow to the geniousness of serving the audience marshmallows-covered cupcakes to represent the junk-food consumption of Florida...

Allsorts - make a gift

Morning,
today is a scheduled post since I'm at chorus practise with Snowflakes the entire weekend, the Christmas concert is just around the corner and it's going to be amazing!

So, for Allsorts this week the challenge is to make a gift, very suitable this time of the year :) I made a gift box with tea lights, a match box and a tag, cause all the lights is what I love most about the winter (well, that and Christmas is basically the only thing I like about winter, and don't say it - I know I've chosen the most illfitting place in the world to live, I have no defense...)

SFTW - Fall colours

I'm hosting the current challenge at Stampin for the Weekend and the theme is Fall colours. And since there are so many warm and wonderful colours in the fall, it should be pleasant to hop around and check out the contributions!
I made a bottle tag with home-made roses, punched edge, distressed music sheet and a tag with an image from our sponsor Bugaboo.

Allsorts - Christmas cheer

at Allsorts this week the theme is Christmas cheer and I used the adorable penguin Francis from Digistamp Boutique since he looks to be cheering =).
Coloured with distress ink Stormy weather and Wild honey and framed with lace. Paper from Maja Design and sentiment from Floonz stamps.

In the light of things

I don't know if it's an age thing but I've been rather displeased with the lighting in my scrap room. Yes, I have a day-light lamp, but apart from that it's just the ceiling lamp and the room has felt very dark lately. So at our trip to IKEA I bought a new set of lights and ...wow! It's like broad day-light in here now, I don't even need the day-light lamp.
So now I can start my new project - see all the christmas ornaments on the table? Gonna make myself a wreath :)

Nicecrane fairies

I was generously given a choice of images from Nicecrane Designs and wow, the choice was hard! So many gorgeous sheets!!
But finally I settled for The Fairies and Angels save pack. The images are so detailed and crisp and I absolutely love the vintage feel so of course I had to make a card right away!
With a Marianne die as background, a bow and some flowers the image makes a wonderful focal point.

Scrap och Ting - marin tavla

dags att blogga lite för Scrap och Ting och idag tänkte jag visa en tavla jag gjort - med sommartema så här mitt i allt höstrusk :)
Jag plockade fram papper från Reprint och Maja Design som jag använde kantskrapa och distresser på. Klippte ut trekanter som vimplar och ritade snöret på fri hand. Jag kunde till och med knyta en riktig råbandsknop, heja mej :). Snäckorna plockades på en utlandsresa för länge sedan och kom nu till användning. Med hjälp av smältlim fäster de bra.

Blir en bra tavla att hänga i sommarstugan, inte för att jag har nån, men jag känner ju dem som är lyckliga stugägare ;)

Allsorts - ribbon and bow

Morning,
this week I'm hosting the challenge at Allsorts. And since I live way up in the north of Sweden where we actually got snow this week (not a lot and it didn't stay but still...) I needed something to keep my mind off the freezing weather. And what better than pretty ribbons and bows!  

So use ribbon and bows on your creations this week so the images can warm my heart :)
