DCD - spring garden scene

Morning, this fortnight at Die Cut Dreams the theme is Spring garden scene. I know it's not much of a scene but I love this image and just really wanted to use it. So clean and so easy to colour. And tulips are the essence of spring for me.

Allsorts - make your own flowers

I used the Perfume bottles digi stamp and coloured it with Aquamarkers Rose Carmine, Celery, Aquamarine and Straw Yellow.

The flower is made by pulling lace together in a ring and attaching it with a button and some ribbon bows.

New punch and Kenny K

Got my new MS punch in the mail today so I just had to use it - of course...

I used the supercute Kenny K image and some black velvet paper, the texture of this card is fab =). Loads of roses from Wild Orchid cause Kenny K's Krafty Girlz want things that start with R and with the punched silver paper it sure is shiny enough to fit Cute Card Thursday (just in the nick of time ).

Distress ink storage

Morning,
got a tip from Jen about foam board for copic storage. I don't do copics but I have my distress ink pads that usually are all over the place so I decide to have a go at a distress ink storage thingy. Got myself some foam board from a local craft store - Konstnärsshopen here in Umea - and got my craft knife and glue gun out. I was really surprised to find how easy it was to work with and how sturdy it is. Now I have all my ink pads together with their respective foam pad, in alphabetical order - yey I'm organized

magnolia chocolate box

We're going to a friend's house for dinner this evening and a true crafter can't go somewhere empty handed, right? =)
So I had this box of chocolate that I made a new cover to. Papers are Pion design from the gorgeous new series Fairytale of Spring, and so it the ticket.

SFTW - monochromatic

Morning,
time for another fortnightly fun at Stampin for the Weekend. The theme is monochromatic so we want you to create something using nuances of mainly one colour. I chose purple and made a pencil case for my young one to have at school. The case itself is bought plain and undecorated and I covered it with paper and added some butterflies, flowers and bling.

Crocheting around an image

Having a go at a video tutorial for the crocheted lace around an image. Entering it in the Top Tip Tuesday challenge too =).

The super talented artist Rick st Dennis has picked me for his design team, Jumping with joy and doing a very embarrassing silly dance right now =).

I got some wonderful images to work with and this is one of them. I coloured the image with distress inks and crocheted a lace around it. The image is fastened on a plain plastic cannister together with a tied double bow and it makes a great vase for twigs and branches to lure out a sense of spring in the living room =)

DCD - it's a girl

Morning all! And Happy Valentine's Day. Perfect opportunity to brighten a dull Monday by spreading some love. And chocolate!

Allsorts - all about the sentiment

This is a scheduled post cause if all goes as plans I should be out on a day-trip with the Comenius visitors - teachers from Wales, Germany, Netherlands and Italy. We're going to visit the moose-farm (yes, there is an actual farm close to where I live, it's a tourist thingy), ride snow-mobiles and finish the day off in an outdoor hot-tub. Gorgeous!!

So, Allsorts challenge... the theme is All about the sentiment. My sentiment is computer generated and you can have it if you want it =). I wanted the sentiment to be the focal point so I made a pop-up card and put the Tilda underneath.

Handbag

Today just a quick post to show a handbag I made using an image from Rick st Dennis. Gosh, is that man talented or what?!?

First shoes

I have started a small spring cleaning but it takes forever cause I tend to find things that distract me (which isn't hard when cleaning is involved hehe)

I found the girls' first pair of shoes and decided to display them in some way. I put them in frames (bought on an auction for just pennies) by threading steel wire through the shoes and onto the backside of the frame to attach them. That way I haven't ruined the shoes - which would be the case if I had glued them =).

Wow, the past week was filled with visiting great inspirational blogs to see all the recycling ideas, warmed my heart to see! On the Allsorts challenge blog I have posted the winner and my top 5. And on that blog is also this week's challenge which is It must be love, love, love!

My contribution is a card with a Kanban image and papers with loads of spring feelings. Kinda early but warming =).

SFTW - Valentines

We don't really celebrate Valentine's here - well the shops are trying to make us but it's not a Swedish tradition - but the cards sure are nice to make =). And the challenge at Stampin for the Weekend this fortnight is Valentine's so here goes =). I used a stamp from Skogstokiga and lots, lots, lots of punched flowers.
