Allsorts - in bloom

Morning,

it's time for me to host the challenge at Allsorts and I thought the theme In Bloom would be suitable for this time of the year :). So use a flower, use a bunch, but it has to be flowers. Paper with a flower pattern won't count!

I made a gift bag, embossed some plain pink paper and decorated the lid with my favourite roses. Image is Elisabeth Bell, coloured with Distress Markers.

No, I figured as much :). Neither can I, it's more a question of trying to limit the amount of dies used. So this week's challenge at Allsorts to use any die won't pose much of a problem, now will it?  

I limited myself to two dies this time and used only a heart swirl and the text die (well... the text is actually two separate dies but who's counting hehe). The image is a digi from Phindy's place, isn't it adorable? Coloured with my distress markers, love love love them!

SFTW - show us your style

Hi all and happy Midsummer,

At Stampin for the Weekend the challenge this fortnight is to show us your style. It's a cool theme and I'm looking forward to hopping around to see all your projects. 

For my style I chose to show you our new door sign, and since it is what we have on our front door I think it would suggest it is my style :).

I love the shabby chic look and I'm slowly but surely turning our entire house out that way :)

It's time for a new challenge at Totally Tilda and we want you to use pennants or bunting on your project. I used a Tilda image that I masked off since she's holding an anchor and I'm not really in to the nautical theme so I cut some openings in the image and let her hold the rope to the pennants instead. Clever aren't I? ;)

Allsorts - paper piecing and piercing

School's out for the summer and it's time for another challenge at Allsorts, woohoo!

The theme is paper piecing and piercing. I tend to pierce my cards all the time, using a marking wheel (made for use on fabric but I'm not picky hehe) so that part wasn't very tricky and piecing is an easy technique that gives a cool result. I made a wedding card and stamped the dress twice so that I could cut out the skirt and make two layers on the card. It looks a bit clean and simple right now but the intention is to put the names of the happy couple in the white spot, I will as soon as a happy couple turns up :)

Allsorts - ice cream colours

This week at Allsorts we want you to be inspired by ice cream colours, great theme with the summer approaching =)

I made a mail box to put my gift tags in, image is Hanglar, paper is Tim Holtz' and I gave the flowers from Wild Orchid just the right soft look by dabbing them with white acrylic paint and some gold glitter paint.

SFTW - Bugs and butterflies

Morning,

it's time for another challenge at Stampin for the Weekend and the theme is Bugs and butterflies. I used an image from Bugaboo, one of our sponsors for this challenge, adorable isn't he =), and such a delight to colour. It works well as a solitaire on a die cut background. The ribbon curls I got by putting a thin coat of glue on the ribbon and wind it on a pencil until nearly dry.
