SFTW - embossing

It's time for another fortnight with Stampin for the Weekend. This time the theme is embossing. That was an easy one since I'm still childishly fond of my embossing folder from Craft Concept =). Image is Molly October from our sponsor Stamp Fairy.

Allsorts - needles and pins

This week at Allsorts the theme is Needles and Pins. And since my baby has left the nest (I feel so abandoned, sob) I made a door hanger for their apartment. Image is Bildmålarna, DP is Tim Holtz and the pin is home made.

DCD - sympathy

Time for a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams and the theme is Sympathy.

I used a Tilda image and coloured it sparsely so that the whole card would be white and cream.

Allsorts - celebration of nations

This week at Allsorts the theme is Celebration of Nations. It can be flag colours or a tribute to your favourite country =). I chose an image by Thomas Kinkade, a truly talented artist that makes the most fantastic paintings, sometimes featuring the American flag, very suitable for this challenge =). This image is from a desk calendar which means I have 364 more images to choose from =). No, on second thought, I used an image for a birthday card for my dad last summer so there's only 363 left...

SFTW - Out with the Old

This first challenge for Stampin for the Weekend this year is Out with the old.
Use what was in your stash last year, so technically you can use something you got as a Christmas gift but we'd really like to see you use some of that stuff that's been hanging around for awhile.

I decided on an old Magnolia image and some backing paper from Tim Holtz shabby vintage stack. It resulted in a door sign for my sister.

Allsorts - Paper piecing

First challenge for 2012 at Allsorts is paper piecing. I used some dp I got from a dear friend for Christmas, the paper is used both as background paper and for the dress and head piece on the image. The apron is mounted with some glue dots to give it dimension.

The stitched edge is made with a sew easy tool, another Christmas present from a scrapping friend.

Baby card for new challenge

There's a new challenge called Lili's Little Fairies and their first challenge is new beginnings. I just had to participate =)

I chose to use a baby stamp I bought before Christmas together with the embossing folder that arrived in the mail today =). I've seen it and drooled over it since I saw it on Debby's blog and now I finally have one of my own, yey!
