Allsorts - I spy...

This week at Allsorts, Brenda is challenging us to include something beginning with the letter B on our creations.

I chose B for Baby, Blue pearls and Bear costume and made a card in orange tones, totally outside my comfort zone but I'm still rather pleased with the outcome.

                                                  

We have two prizes so there will be two winners, a Tim Holtz die 'B' for Birds and Birdcage and a set of Tattered Lace dies which include 'B' for Bride.

Allsorts - handmade flowers

This week I'm hosting the challenge at Allsorts and I chose handmade flowers. So make your own flowers and add to your project. There are so many ways to create nice blossoms, maybe check out a tutorial online and try something completely new. 

I always look for new ways to create flowers so I'm hoping for some tips visiting your blogs this week. 

I made my flowers using a sizzix daisy-die, some white stamens and a flatbacked pearl. Leaves are made by cutting apart a diecut maple leaf.

Allsorts - love is in the air

We're closing in on Valentine's Day so at Allsorts we naturally have the theme Love is in the air. I made a double gift tag (so that you can write the greeting on the tag behind the decorated one. It's very sparkly but the light during winter really doesn't do it justice.

Baby gift tag

Showing off a gift tag I made for the February challenge at Scraphuset where they want creations in red or pink. A Lili of the Valley image, coloured with distress inks, some scrap paper, roses and a ribbon that is not at all the salmon colour it looks to have on  the photo :)

Allsorts - spots or stripes

This week at Allsorts the challenge is to use spots and/or stripes. I dry embossed a piece of vellum to get the spots to show clearly and decorated with some leaves made from a maple leaf die and a foamiran flower. I have just learned how to make flowers from foamiran so they might show up on other creations :)
