Sugar Bowl - anything goes

Morning,
it's time for a new challenge at The Sugar Bowl, themed Anything goes. 

I made a wish list using Words from the Heart from Furry Friends, cause I figured that we usually take out the wish list before Christmas but things we want pop up all through the year so why not have a wish list that can hang in the kitchen all year round?

Allsorts - anything but Christmas

Woohoo, last day in school yesterday and now it's Christmas holiday for real!

At Allsorts the theme is Anything but Christmas. And to give the wonderful Design Team some well earned holiday the challenge will run for two weeks. I made a steampunk hat for this challenge. It's a sewing pattern for a fleece hat but it worked out fine to make it from paper. Free pattern here.

Allsorts - Golden days

This week I'm hosting the challenge at Allsorts and I set the theme Golden Days. Use gold on your card or perhaps you can interpret it in another clever way :).

I used golden embossing powder for the sentiment and for the swirl pattern on the corners of the card, and some gold coloured ribbon.

Allsorts - CAS

This week at Allsorts the theme is Clean and Simple (CAS) and that is usually very much of a challenge for me but I think I got it done in the end :).
Stamps from Reprint, stamped the tree twice without new ink to get the faded look. I know the card looks absolutely wonky but it's the way it stood in the photo box, nuff said :)

Allsorts - colours of Autumn

the challenge at Allsorts this week is themed Colours of Autumn. Once again using the sentiment found on the Internet (have it under the Freebie tab now) together with a card in very rustic colours. We are sponsored by Jiggery Makery and Sizzix, so nice prizes to be won!!

Sugar Bowl challenge - Anything goes

Time for a new Anything goes-challenge at the Sugar Bowl. Using the image Rosie. She's adorable but I think she might be retired cause I can't find her in the shop.
I actually started by making her dress blue but then I decided to make a robust autumn card and had to redo the colouring so I paper pieced it by stamping on a glossy cream paper and cutting out the dress. Worked rather nicely :) If you look really closely you can see that the creme dress is slightly lower than the original image but that's only if you look really close ;)

Allsorts - At least three diecuts

the challenge at Allsorts this week is themed Use at least 3 diecuts . I used an image from Wild Rose Studio and an oval shaped die for the image, the lace band behind the image is a Martha Stewart die and the snowflakes are dies from a brand I can't remember.

Allsorts - anything but a card

the challenge at Allsorts this week is themed Anything but a card. These are my favourite challenges, but you already knew that :).
I made a shoe and decorated it with lace, pearls and pink roses. I found the template for the shoe here. It's very decorative in itself and also lovely to use as a gift if you put a small bag of candy in it.

Clean and simple Christmas

A clean and simple Christmas card where I stamped the presents on to wrapping paper. Sentiment stamp from Winnie and Walter. And quite suitable for the Less is More-challenge paper piecing :)

The silly camera made the backing paper text look very goldish but it is very orange, for real! Another sentiment found online, I will put it for safe keeping in the Freebie section in the top bar as soon as I come home from London :).

the challenge at Allsorts this week is themed Nature. I made a gift box - no surprise coming from me :) - with a geranium backing paper and flowers from Iamroses.

This afternoon we are having a concert with Snowflake Singers, celebrating the chorus' 10 year anniversary. Followed by a celebratory dinner in the evening. So heels and lashes on ;)

I used Abi ballerina from Funkykits, gently coloured with distress inks to fit the soft blue backing paper.

GDT for Penny Black and More

It's time for a new challenge at our sister challenge Penny Black and More and it's my turn to be the guesting Allsorts designer. The theme for September is Anything goes.
I used an image called Butterfly suite and just lightly coloured it. The image in itself is lovely so I just punched the card edge and tied a ribbon.

Allsorts - recycle or upcycle

Morning,
the challenge at Allsorts this week is themed Recycle or upcycle. So I thought I'd share my fairy door that I made for the garden.

I started with some popsicle sticks and wooden blocks. Distressed everything with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain, then glued the popsicle sticks for a door and the wooden blocks for stairs.
