The Sugar Bowl - anything goes

Last entry for the Sugar Bowl challenge, my 4 month session has come to an end and it is also my last blog post before Christmas. The theme is Anything goes and you know what to do, right?

Make a card or other craft project using a Sugar Nellie image. I chose to make a birthday card using the adorable Lead the way digi, coloured with distress ink.

One lucky winner gets to choose 4 Sugar Nellie digis and a second winner will get 2 Sugar Nellie digis, so don't hesitate to join. You will have a whole month to create your contribution.

Allsorts - Last minute gifts

My turn to introduce the last challenge for this year at Allsorts challenge. Because you see, this challenge will last for two weeks to give us all a well earned Christmas holiday :).

Since this time of the year can be hectic you sometimes end up needing some last minute gifts - you know the feeling? So we might as well set the theme to Last Minute Gifts :)

Allsorts - White Christmas

today we celebrate Lucia and I will sing with parts of the Snowflake Singers Chorus at the town mall today. But before I head off I want to tell you about the challenge at Allsorts starting today. The theme is White Christmas and I figured a snowman is White enough =).

Allsorts - Animals

Morning,
tonight is our Christmas concert with Snowflake singers, I'm soooo excited!
But not so much that I would forget the weekly challenge at Allsorts :). This week the theme is Animals.

I chose this adorable Furry Friends Bunny from Sugar Nellie and made a clean and simple card to make the bunny pop. This bunny is free with purchase from Funky Kits! So I will take this opportunity and remind you that there is an ongoing challenge at the Sugar Bowl with the theme Anything goes.

Allsorts - Milestone birthday

At Allsorts this week we want you to create something connected to an important birthday - a milestone of sorts.
I made a card using an old Hanglar image (oh, how sad it is that these stamps don't exist any more).
I tried to make all colours soft and calm to make the image the fokal point. I see now that I probably could put some glossy accents on the numbers to make them pop more.

Sugar Bowl - Anything goes

Hi all,
today it's time for a new challenge at the Sugar Bowl and the theme is Anything goes. Isn't it lovely to be able to create whatever you like with these fabulous images!
I chose to work with On the wings of love from Funky Kits, a wonderful image to colour. Distressed edges with both Walnut Stain and Black Soot to get a vintage feeling.

Allsorts - No DP allowed

This week at Allsorts the theme is No designer paper allowed. That can be hard since there are so many wonderful papers to use and choose from. But I think my fellow DT:s at Allsorts did a fantastic job and hopefully they will inspire you to create lovely things. I used a plain white paper, stamped the christmas tree from Reprint twice to get the different shades of green (Forest Moss distress ink pad) and added the smudged post stamp from Inkido.

It's Saturday and once again time for a challenge at Allsorts and this week it's one of my absolute favourites: anything but a card. I love doing boxes and I adore making all sorts of stuff prettier :)

This item is a bit sad but it's very beautiful, it's the urn that holds my beloved Oscar, the absolute love of my life and the most beautiful cat that ever lived. It was of plain light wood when I got it so I painted it white, distressed the edges and added lace, flowers and a poem.

Allsorts - poppies

This week at Allsorts Susan has set the theme to Poppies/Remembrence since it's Remembrence Day on Nov 11. This is not celebrated in Sweden but in many other countries. The day celebrates the end of World War I and the poppies are a symbol for the blood spilled on the battlefield (and the fact that lots of poppies grew on the battlefield in Flanders). I found the poppy image as a freebie here.

Morning,
it's time for a Masculine challenge at Allsorts so I will show you the gift tag I made for my nephew. Magnolia image coloured with distress inks frayed burlap and pumice stone.

Remake of an old wooden chest

Found this wooden chest in a thrift shop for £8, I liked the size and the overall quality of it, but not how it looked.

 

So I painted it white and dabbed the edges with distress ink Walnut Stain, spray painted the metal details with a copper spray and added a French label from The Graphics Fairy and now it's a lot more me :)

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts and Jo has a lovely colour combo for you - Creme and Brown.
I picked out a Magnolia image and made a gift box. I'm extra pleased with the tags, made from plain white paper and coloured with distress ink in brown and black nuances.

My sewing machine isn't all too keen on working with paper but I have a Churchill personality - I will never surrender! And I made some faux stitching around the image just in case... ;)

The theme for this month is Anything goes, easy way to start :)

I used the Sugar Nellie image Hey little Birdie and coloured it with distress re-inkers. Boxes are so tricky to take good pictures of but I did my best :)

 I really like how the scroll die turned out, don't know why I haven't used it more...

Allsorts - Based on a film title

This week at Allsorts we want you to create something based on a film title. 
Since I love all Disney movies I opted for one of them and decided on The Hunchback of Notre Dame since this Esmeralda image from Rick st Dennis is just amazing! Further decorations aren't really necessary :)
