I'm Bob the builder!!

Have you ever worked with foam board? If you haven't I suggest you run out and get some as soon as the stores open again cause it's an awesome material. It's easy as paper to work with - just cut with a craft knife and glue together with hot glue - and sturdy enough to use as storage units. You might remember the storage shelf I made for my distress ink pads? If you don't it's right here.
Now I've put a desk caddy together. Six compartments, two drawers (they are made of cardstock) and it took half an hour to finish.
So, no excuses now ladies. If you can work with paper - and I know you can ;) - you can work with foam board.

Allsorts - recipe

Happy Saturday all and welcome to a new challenge at Allsorts. We have a recipe challenge for you this week: 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments.

I used 1 image from Hanglar, 2 papers from Melissa Frances and for three embellies I took roses, pearls and die cuts.
The sentiment is a stamp from this week's sponsor Flonz stamps.

SFTW - Childs play

I thought spring was on its way but boy was I wrong. Up here in the north it has turned really, really cold so mornings are a regular pain...
Anyhow, time for another challenge at Stampin for the Weekend with a bit of Childs play this fortnight. And for that theme the images from Bildmålarna are perfect, they're absolute cuteness!

other challenges:
The ABC challenge - J for just as you like it
Really reasonable ribbons - Flowers and ribbon
Vintage utfordring - spring

New flowerpot and faux stitching tips

I had this flower pot in gold gathering dust cause the gold paint made it look a bit tacky.

So I took out the spray paint and I think it's much nicer now :).

And also, lots of people have asked me about the tool I use when I do the faux stitching on many of my cards and projects. Well, it's an ordinary tracing wheel used for tracing pattern on fabric. Can be bought in most fabric stores and they're quite cheap :)

A "B challenge" :)

Today I'm gonna case the style of a blogger I admire hugely, namely Brenda. So... had I had any skills for creating a stamped scene I would have, but I don't so I will settle for distressed background, which she is really good at making too. She usually works with ribbons and bows so that's represented. And she doesn't like colouring images, so I didn't either. Instead I used a butterfly, I'm sure B loves them, I mean who doesn't :). And the Marianne die cut is one of her favourites.

and I'm gonna enter Crafty creations challenge, casing myself from yesterday's post.

PB@Allsorts

This card is my contribution as guest designer for Penny Black @ Allsorts where the theme this month is One for the boys.
I really like the image and I still enjoy making the paper bows =).
I made this card for my uncle's 60th birthday in December. My uncle sadly passed away recently but I'm glad we at least got together and celebrated him properly.
