Since I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to remembering things if it's not written down I've made a special calendar for birthdays of note. I flip over a new card for each month - the younger lass will gladly assist me there - and I've written down the names of people I need to remember, name and year of birth, that way this calendar won't need to be changed every year :)
