Allsorts strawberry inspiration

Happy Saturday all you crafters and welcome to another challenge at Allsorts where it's Brendas turn to host the challenge again.
It is of course very unfair, considering where I live, but in Cambridgeshire Fens where Brenda lives, the arrival of strawberries in late May is always an eagerly awaited event in the produce calendar, so Brenda wants us to draw inspiration from the pictures below.

You don't have to put strawberries on your project, although of course you can if you want and you can use other colours for skin, hair etc., but the main ones should be taken from the pictures and there are two to make things a bit easier.

Yummy, right? So, I made a criss cross card using a Magnolia image and a digi image I just got from Clear Dollar stamps. The strawberry is painted with aged mahogany distress ink and liquid pearls gold, glossed and manually embossed to get the bulgy look so that it almost pops out of the paper. I also put a large blob from the glue gun in the middle of the strawberry before gluing the edges to the paper.

Other challenges:

Stamp something - use a digi image (the strawberry)

Creative Card Crew - pink & green

Cupcake Craft - summer delights

Charizma Cards - flowers (a strawberry flower counts, right?)

Our Creative Corner - summer inspiration

One stitch at a time - use something new (my brand new strawberry)

Just Magnolia - frame it

Magnolia down under - flowers
