Allsorts - Birthday boy

Morning,
we had our graduation at school this Wednesday so summer holiday has just begun. Not for me though, I'm in London writing the interim report for the Erasmus project our school is involved in. But there are worse places to spend a working weekend I think :). I know there has been a lot of turbulence there lately but we can't let crazy people scare us to stay at home, cause then they will have won! I love London and every chance I get, I will keep coming back there. And when I go home, it's to go to school for one more day - mainly to tidy up my desk - and then it's summer vacation until August 11th.

At Allsorts, our theme this week is Birthday boy, and I am - of course - in a baby mood (roughly two more weeks til I'm a proper granny) so I made a baby birthday card. Not for the chap we're waiting for, but for the little darling my nephew got last year. He's turning a whole year soon :) Wendy, who is hosting the challenge, stipulated that there has to be a stamped image so I used the lovely Hamish the Chef stamp on a plain background.

Allsorts - use two or more dies

This week at Allsorts the theme is: Use two or more dies. I used two circle dies with stitched edge and a die with baby clothes on a line, really cute.
Just wish I could hang out the washed clothes to dry in reality, since they smell fantastically when dried in the garden, but it's cold and grey and will most likely rain today, so not really a good idea.

We are sponsored with some really pretty dies from Marianne Dies so hurry over and join in!

Allsorts - Christmas in June

Time to start thinking about the Christmas cards, it'll be winter before we know it :) So this week at Allsorts the theme is Christmas in June, just to get you started :)
I made a gift tag with iridescent snowflakes and some tiny bells. Computer generated sentiment, I've added it at the bottom of the post if you want to use it for your own creations.
We have two sponsors - digistamp boutique and Tattered Lace, so two lucky winners this week.

Other challenges:
vilda stamps - Anything goes

Allsorts - Vintage

Hi all,
first of all, the winner of the stamp set is Craftyfield, send your postal address to mummylade@gmail.com and I'll send it straight to you!

And it's time for a vintage challenge at Allsorts, yey!
So distressed edges, brown and blue, flowers and some rather old lace - that is vintage to me :)
We are sponsored by Swedish House Crafts, and they sure have lots of lovely items for creating the vintage look.

Allsorts 8th birthday!

Morning all,
this week we are celebrating our 8th birthday at Allsorts. Wow, time flies! The theme is of course Happy Birthday and if you join in our celebration we have a real treat for you.

Our Birthday challenge is kindly sponsored by Tattered Lace who are offering a fabulous £50 store voucher for this week's winner, AND in addition there is a £5 voucher for every single entrant to spend at their Crafting store.

To use your £5 voucher you will need a code which can be found by vising each of the DT's personal blogs, collecting the nine letters/numbers and creating the unique code. It's a really simple one, I promise you, but if you get stuck just mail us. Your voucher will be valid from today until Saturday May 27th and is limited to one voucher per entrant, that means that even if you enter three times you will only receive one voucher.

Here's my birthday tag with metal corners and shiny ribbon as only decoration since the text stamp from Winnie and Walter is so gorgeous in itself. :)

I will also throw in a stamp set as an extra prize. All you have to do is comment on this post and I'll draw a winner next Saturday.

And the letter you need? It's A. Just remember that you need to unscramble the letters to form a word that most likely is very familiar to you, and there will be one number, put that last and your code will work just fine.

Allsorts - ring a ring o roses

This week at Allsorts the theme is Ring a ring o´ roses, you know that dear old childhood rhyme. So basically Brenda, who is hosting the challenge, wants to see roses on your creation. Easy enough right :)
I made an envelope shaker card using roses both as decoration and on the design paper. And put in a die cut ring just to be on the safe side :)
So looking forward to catching a glimpse of your projects cause what ever would we do without roses?

We have two gorgeous prizes, wish I could enter myself :)

Allsorts - Music

Today it's my turn to host the challenge at Allsorts and since I'm going away this weekend to compete in the Nordic Championships in barbershop I thought the theme Music would be fitting :)
I made a tag with musical notes on, and a snowflake behind the design paper since Snowflake singers is the name of my chorus. Just for good luck ;)
We have prizes for two winners this week, one from Digistamp boutique and one from Tattered Lace.

And also: soon it's time for our Birthday party!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Allsorts - sketch

This week at Allsorts Kath wants us to use a sketch as inspiration for our creations. So I came up with this shabby chic card.
I'm thinking I can use it as a base and add either a name or a number in the center when I know what to use it for. It's good to have a couple of neutral cards that you can swiftly personalize when you need them.
This is the sketch to use

Allsorts - bring the bling

It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts with the theme Bring the Bling. I made a daisy by fastening double sided tape on cardstock before I cut out the flower. Then I removed the backing of the tape and poured glitter on. I also dabbed some glue on the edges and poured some glitter there too but of course bling doesn't show up well in my photos :(.

We have Marianne Design as out sponsor this week so hop on over to join.

Allsorts - Food

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts, the theme being Food.
I am of course stretching it a bit with chocolate, cause it's not food in that sense but it sure is edible - and hugely tasty :). A jar of M&M´s with a text picked up here. Altered the lid with some fabric and ribbon.

Allsorts - Cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats

Hi all,
time for a new challenge at Allsorts, this time Tracy mouse wants your projects to feature cakes, cupcakes or sweet treats.
I made a gift box for a chocolate bar - locally made and just divine. The music die is a new favourite, very delicate and crisp cut and of course the daisies that come back again and again :).

Allsorts - girls and ladies

Time for a new challenge at Allsorts and the theme is Girls and Ladies.
I used an image from Rick St Dennis with only a die cut daisy and some swirls as decoration cause I wanted the image to be really focused. These hat ladies are just amazing and I love them all!

Allsorts - spring inspiration

Today there is a new challenge over at Allsorts and we have a lovely mood board for you to use for your creations. So think Spring! Not that it's even close to spring where I live, but a girl can dream :)

Week 405 Inspiration
I made a chocolate card with spring flowers as decoration. The card has room for two chocolate cakes, they are locally made and absolutely to die for!

We have two sponsors this week, both digistamp boutique and Little Clare design so do join in.

I have also made some new sentiments to share with you. I have put them under the freebie tab.

Other challenges:
Crafty calendar - special female (and this sure is for a special lady)
Kreativescrapping - bingo, I chose flowers, string and chipboard (the tag)

Allsorts - Metal or Charms

Hello,
my turn to host the challenge over at Allsorts and I want you to use charms or actual metal on your creations.
I made a tag, using an embossing folder on aluminium tape, blackening it with black acrylic paint. Then some cog wheel dies, smudged with gold wax and some metal wire that I tied around the tag. Taking pictures of shiny things really is a drag...

We are sponsored this week by Tattered Lace, they are giving not one but two lucky winners a die each so dig out your metal bits and get crafting.

Allsorts - anything goes

Hi,
this week the challenge at Allsorts is Anything goes. Nice to have those "let's do whatever"-kinda weeks :)
I made a card with a new text die, once again a die with a stitched edge (I know, I have a tendency to almost wear new things out when I get them) and a gorgeous baby hands stamp I got for my birthday.

Allsorts - Hearts and/or Flowers

Hi,
this week the challenge at Allsorts is Hearts and/or Flowers. Shouldn't be too much of a struggle I suppose :)
At least it wasn't for me, I made some gift boxes in blue and gold, a favourite layout that works for all sorts of occasions.

Allsorts - paper piecing

Hi,
this week the challenge at Allsorts is Paper piecing. I made a gift tag using a Lili of the Valley stamp and the colour scheme pink and brown. I just adore my new dies with the stitched edge and I have ordered some more in other shapes :)

Now I'm off to a chorus weekend, two whole days singing and dancing with my wonderful chorus friends in Snowflake singers.
