Allsorts - oriental

The theme at Allsorts this week was a bit of a challenge for me cause it's Oriental and I don't have any oriental stamps. Then I surfed the web and found a lovely vintage image of an oriental girl and everything fell into place :). In hindsight I would have prefered a bit more texture to the flowers but that can't be helped now..

SFTW - Buttons and bows

This fortnight at Stampin for the Weekend the theme is buttons and bows. We are sponsored by Paper nest dolls so I used Pirate Avery, coloured with distress markers.
The small roses I made from the backing paper, there's a link to the tutorial I use under the tab Tutorials.

Allsorts - spring blossoms

Saturday means a new challenge at Allsorts and this time the theme is: Spring blossoms.
I took some ordinary easter eggs, painted them with home-made gesso and added lots and lots of flowers.

This is how the eggs looked in original:

And this is the recipe for home-made gesso:
1/4 cup of baby talcum powder
1 tablespoon of white glue
1 tablespoon of white acrylic paint

SFTW - Favourite stamp

Morning,
time for a new challenge at Stampin for the Weekend and the theme is: Use your favourite stamp. Well, that's tricky cause I have so many stamps that I love, but I tend to go back to the Lily of the Valley-stamps over and over again so I ended up choosing one of the fantastic bear stamps. A small card, not overly decorated to keep the image in focus :).

Allsorts - No flowers

Morning,
you really seemed to like our last challenge at Allsorts. Let's see if we can inspire you this week. I would like to challenge you to make a project without using any flowers - and with that I mean NO flowers; no flowers on the backing paper, not even flowers on the image. Gasp, can that be done? Well... if I can do it, so can you, cause I really, really, really love to use flowers :)

I used one of my favourite stamps, masked the butterfly so I could keep that white and coloured the rest of the image with Seedless Preserves and Tumbled Glass. And no, those are not flowers on the image, those are leaves ;)
