Last minute Christmas gift

I made hand scrub and body scrub today and filled some jars - extra decorated of course =) - to give away for Christmas. The hand scrub is so good, a dream for crafter's hands, even distress stains vanish, and the body scrub smells absolutely delicious. (A word of warning though, I used it in the shower this evening and the puppy went absolutely bananas when I came into the kitchen, I thought he was gonna eat me alive, haha )

The scrubs are so easy to make - and you probably have all you need in the kitchen already =)

Hand scrub:
mix 2½ cups of sugar, 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil and 4 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Body scrub:
mix 2 cups of brown sugar, 1 cup of regular sugar, 1 cup of sunflower oil and 1 tablespoon of vanilla aroma.

Challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Last Christmas
Just Magnolia - white plus one
Charizma Cardz - Anything goes
Creative inspirations - Anything goes
Simon says - Bingo (I chose Ribbon, Gems, Glitter)
Crafts and Me - Anything goes
Sundays with Crissy - Anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Chrismas
Vintage utfordring - vintage inspired hostess gift

Our new family member!!

Our baby came home to us yesterday evening, a Lancashire Heeler boy that we call Socrates - Sokke for short. The cats are not all that amused but they'll come around eventually =).

He's like a sausage on legs and absolutely adorable!!

Allsorts - blue and brown

This will be Allsorts last challenge before Christmas and it will run for TWO weeks, so hopefully you can find a little time, in between all the festivities, to join us.

This fortnight it's the fantastic Fleur's time to host and she would love to see anything that's predominatly.....

BLUE and BROWN

This is what I came up with, not the amount of layers I normally have, I'm not really pleased with that but I like the image.

Allsorts - It takes two

This weeks new theme At Allsorts is "It Takes Two", use only two colours on your creation, although you can also use white as your base colour.

So, together with my base colour I chose red and gold. The image is Penny Black and I embossed regular red cardstock with gold embossing powder and made an accordion flower. It made a pretty ornament for the Christmas tree.

SFTW - Christmas

It's a very suitable challenge at Stampin for the Weekend this time, the theme is simply Christmas. Shouldn't be too tricky to manage, what do you say? ;)

The image took a while to colour but then again, not much else is needed for decoration when it's finished =)

DCD - calendar page

This challenge at Die Cut Dreams will last for 4 weeks so you have plenty of time to create something fabulous whilst wrapping presents and making Christmas cookies =).

We want you to create a calendar page for either January 2012 or the entire 2012. I chose January and worked with a Hanglar image.
