Die Cut Dreams - card with number on

Morning all!

It's time for another challenge at Die Cut Dreams and this week the theme is numbers. Make a card or project with a number on it. The theme is to honour our beloved DT collegue Nicola who has a rather even birthday today :) .

My card is for her and has hopefully arrived to her by now. The image is a freebie from Mo Manning, coloured with distress inks - mainly victorian velvet and spun sugar.

Allsorts colour combo

This week at Allsorts it's Debs turn to pick the theme and she picked a colour combo of Black, White and 1 other colour of choice.

As this is the last week of the month we are being sponsored by our regular sponsor

and one lucky winner will win

This is my take on the colour combo. A pretty silhouette stamp that coordinates well with the backing paper sent to me in a paper swap. A very easy to make item but the warm red makes it rather effectful.

The DT made gorgeous work so please go on over and check it out.

Gift box

Life is hectic for a teacher in May - graduation feels like minutes away (June 11th so a couple of minutes I know, but still...)

But I still have to craft, especially since I got my LOTV stamps in the mail today! I made a gift box for the birthday party my young one is going to on Sunday, big enough to hold the Highschool Musical cardgame she's giving the birthday girl.

Sunday is Mother's Day here in Sweden, but I'm guessing she prefers the birthday party ;)

At least I can enter some challenges with this, I'm so lucky =).

A Spoon full of Sugar - celebration

Creative Card Crew - pink and green

Simon says stamp challenge - pink or blue with green and brown

ABC challenge - V is for vintage

Charizma cards - 3 D

Crafts and me - distressed

Stamp something - use two of something (the roses obviously hehe)

woyww

Morning all WoywW:ers! Today I'll just show you the desk from another angle. A shelf where I keep ribbons and templates and punches and "stuff", and hopefully in a near future - my mounted stamps :)

And yes, the red bottle on the middle shelf is Body Shop's shower creme. It's used for... wait for it... showering. I told you I had "stuff" in this shelf. My craft room is close to the upstairs bathroom and I keep the cheap shower creme there and this more expensive and lush one in the craft room cause otherwise the wee one would just empty the bottle. I know this, we've been through it :). So I graciously give her a small cup of this now and then.
I'm not cheap, I'm financially aware ;)

Have a lovely day!

Die Cut Dreams - words only

This week at Die Cut Dreams we want you to have words only on your project. Check out the fantastic DT work for inspiration. I made a bookmark using a saying by Charles Edwin that I wrote in Photoshop, printed and distressed with frayed burlap, victorian velvet and shabby shutters.

If you want to use the saying for personal purposes, here it is:

Quixotic has the same theme as we do this week so I'm tossing this in there =).

Allsorts - Tag or Ticket

It is once again a lovely Saturday and it is my turn to host this week's challenge. Last week was fantastic with all the celebrations for our 1 year anniversary. Thank you ladies! Make sure you pop over to the Allsorts blog to see if you are one of the many winners. The winner of my celebration candy is: nr 87 Beth's Little Card Blog. Please send me a mail with your address hun.

This week the theme is Tag or Ticket. Create a tag/ticket or attach one to your project. I'm hoping for lots of lovely and inspirational work to visit. We are continuing the celebrations slightly - why settle with one week only ;) - and this week we have not one but two sponsors!

Digital Delights is a magical place run by the talented Wendy. It is filled with little digi creations from all walks of life. They have a wide range of digital stamps which are delivered straight to your email 24/7! Digital delights are offering this to one winner:

And Vikki (vikkithescrapjunkie) who you might know from blogland has started her own shop with pins and charms that are so lush and gorgeous it's a priviledge to be able to offer not one but FIVE sets to one lucky winner.

I made a heart shaped box for the occasion. Used a heart shape from photoshop, printed and covered with TH designer paper. Ticket is computer generated, flowers from Wild Orchid.

Stampin for the Weekend - post pals

This fortnight we are making cards for a very good cause. The theme is to bring a smile to someone and the DT team has had post pal kids in mind when creating the card. Please read more about this on the Stampin for the Weekend page.

I will send my card to a little boy named Lewis. I used a digi image from the Digistamp boutique and some MS punches.

Free digi

This is my second post today, please scroll down for my DT work for Die Cut Dreams - lace.

I got this free digi image from Frideborg, isn't it fantastic?! Backing paper and circles are from a free download from Polka doodles (theme this week is to use those on a project with dimension and texture) and the sketch is from Truly Scrumptious. So basically this card cost me two rosebuds and a bow ;). I lifted the image with glue to get dimension and used pearl maker for texture.

Die Cut Dreams - Lace it up

This week at Die Cut Dreams it is time to Lace it up. Use some lace on your creation and join the fun. As usual Susie is offering a fab prize!

I've taken a box shaped like a book (from scrapbooking4you.se, as is the lace and hymn page), painted it with acrylic paint and distressed the edges. A page from an old book of hymns works as backing paper, Tilda is painted with chipped sapphire.

The sayings are from Our daily bread designs.

Other challenges:

Sophisticats - blue, brown and creme

One stitch at a time - anything but a card

Truly scrumptious - hidden message

Roses on Paper - gift

Allsorts 1 year anniversary blog hop

The Allsorts challenge has now been around for a year so it is time for the 1 year anniversary blog hop. If you have come here from Debs you're in the right place! There are fantastic prizes in store for some lucky ladies this week so you just have to join the fun!!

The theme for this week is - of course - birthdays and I have used a stamp from Skogstokiga that I felt very suitable for celebrating Allsorts.

To add to all the fantastic prizes this week I have a little extra right here. You can win some stamped images, lush buttons and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts by adding your name to Mr Linky below. The winner will be announced on the Allsorts page next Saturday.

The letter I have for you is D and your next hop stop is Fleur.

birthday book box

Say that headline three times quickly, hehe!

The wee one is going to a party today and we bought the birthday girl a book. I decided to make a gift box instead of just wrapping it.

And I looked around to see what challenges I could aim for. I came up with:

Whiff of Joy - sketch

Spoon full of sugar - 3 designer papers, 3 buttons

ABC challenge - U is for unused stash (I've had this party girl image for ages but never used it, shame on me)

Cute Card Thursday - someone special

Cupcake craft - buttons

Papertake Weekly - shiny, sparkly, special

One stitch at a time - going dotty

Crafts and me - anything but a card

Quixotic challenges - make your own flowers

Stamp and Create - ribbon

Sukkersött - 3D effect

Stamp something - celebrate something

WoywW

Morning,
Wednesday means What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and I took a picture before I dashed off to work this morning - oh dear!! It was really hard to leave this but I had to.

Last night I decided to try to organize my stamps, this is as far as I have come...

The clear stamps are still in their box - I'll deal with them later, much later ;)

And for those of you that wonder about my new profile card - no, I don't really look like that naturally :). Me and the older daughter were invited to this Model for a day-thingy where they gave us a studio make-up and professional photographers took loads of pictures and we had to make poses not fit for human beings (especially not human beings wearing high heels) and then if we wanted we could buy the pictures. It was a hilarious day and I even got the photographer to laugh (victory!)

Die Cut Dreams - Shabby Chic

This week at Die Cut Dreams it's one of my favourite themes, it's Shabby Chic! So get started on your soft colours and rough edges and give it a go.

I made a box using TH backing paper, image from WoJ, TH hinges die cuts painted with crackle paint. Image and sentiment is cut out with nesties, label 10. It's a card on the box, therefor the double opening ;).

And I thought most crafters might be familiar with the sentiment hehe.

Penny Black

First card in ages using a Penny Black stamp, but to honor their 100 challenge anniversary I figured I might make an effort =). It turned out as a very soft and spring-like card and the image is really cute. Why don't I use PB images more often?

Well, you know how it is; so many stamps, so little time ... ;)

Wedding tag

Just a quick entry today cause my nose feels all stuffed and it hurts when I swallow (so don't then, as my hubby would say).

I made a wedding inspired gift tag using the stamp I won at the craft gathering. Paper pieced it "Debby style". Background distressed with spun sugar and pumice stone.

Challenges:

Simon Says Challenge - celebration

Charisma Cardz Challenges - Wedding

One Stop Craft Challenge - anything but a card

WoywW, week 18

I'm not gonna show you my workdesk today, I'm gonna show you what has been my workspace for weeks and weeks and weeks... =)

You remember what my living room looked like? Here's a link to that entry, dated February 2! OMG, I've been living in this for two months...
But the living room is finally - sorta - finished. We still need to put up the skirting-boards (the thingies between the floor and the wall), paint the brown window and buy some chairs but it's mostly done. It's such a relief!!

Silhouette stamp

I got this silhouette digistamp from Stitchy Bear Stamps and I printed it this evening. I wanted to make a card for Sir Stampalot's May challenge and I made my own backing paper to be able to enter Cute Card Thursday and Crafty Creations. Papertake Weekly had a lovely sketch that I decided to follow, something in the connection between brain and hand failed though... but as they say; scrap happens =) Well, well, it works for Flutterby Wednesday though =)

What is this???

Friday evening when we got home - rather late, rather happy - I opened the patio door to let our old cat Oscar in. He dashed in and just as he took the curve to run down the stairs to the basement I saw something dangling from his mouth.

My instant thought was WTF? Oscar does NOT kill and bring home stuff. Saga does, but not Oscar. I did what all sensible women do in these situations - I yelled for my husband ;), pointed to the basement and said that Oscar took something in, something nastingly big...

Of course he was hiding under the bed (Oscar, not my hubby, wouldn't that have been awkward...) in the elder daughter's bedroom (thank god she wasn't home) and after a bit of a struggle (read yelling and growling and tugging and cursing) Chris got hold of it and we just eyeballed it . We couldn't for the life of us figure out what the heck it was!

It's like a guinea pig with a rat tail, the eewwh factor is huge I say! I haven't got a clue what it is, lets just hope he hasn't killed someones exotic pet, that would be a bummer...

Die Cut Dreams - pink Tilda

Morning ladies,

this week's challenge at Die Cut Dreams is Pink Tilda - easy enough challenge =).

My Tilda is more purple than pink but the card is pink enough hehe. The image is coloured with distress inks and the backing paper is DCWV spring stack, the bow is from Wild Orchid Craft, the doily is from a local store here (Tiimari).

It also works for:

Charizma cards - girly card with flowers

Allsorts #50 Animals

Morning,

it's time for another challenge at Allsorts and we are sponsored by

She has the most fabulous images, well worth a visit!

The theme this week is animals and it would have been perfect to use one of the bears from the Coco digi-set that I love, but for some reason I didn't. Well, well...
I used one of Sliekje's images and the backing paper is from a swap so I have no idea of its origin. Rather simple card but plenty colourful =)
