Allsorts - inspiration from a garden or park

Morning!

My turn to set the challenge at Allsorts this week and I would like you to get some inspiration from a garden or park and let that show in your work.

One lucky winner this week will receive a £10 voucher to spend online at

Once again we have the priviledge of presenting the very talented Joanna Sheen as our Guest Designer. So I decided to use a Joanna Sheen stamp for my DT work this week. Colours are mainly Peeled paint and Vintage photo. The branch is a piece cut from a long die.

At Die Cut Dreams this week the theme is Tilda in Lemon. Lovely colour on these images!

Backing paper is embossed, managed some stitchings on the card without using a chair (it was missing from the room so instead of looking for it I sewed standing on my knees, using one knee on the pedal - don't ask)

Allsorts - less than 3 "

At Allsorts the challenge this week is to make a project no bigger than 3 inches.

So I decided to use the mini fairy from Magnolia and make place cards for Amanda's party. We haven't decided when to have the party but we have at least some place cards - that's a start =).

SFTW - Anything goes

The theme of the challenge at Stampin for the Weekend this fortnight is Anything Goes and it is sponsored by Sir Stampalot

Since the theme is fairly open hehe I'm guessing there will be a lot of visiting and commenting this week, I really hope you will join too.
I made a recipe card using a Sarah Kay image, painted with distress inks and made the title tag with the same corner punch as the frame around the image. I might do a tutorial to show how I did, time permitting =).

Die Cut Dreams - tag with no stamping

Over at Die Cut Dreams this week the challenge is to make a tag and to use no stamping what so ever. A bit tricky at first but I used some paper from DCWV, swirl made with pearlmaker and a flower using TH flower dies. Pin is home made and the doily is distressed with walnut stain.

I scheduled this post cause it's my first day at work after the summer, wish me luck =).

Other challenges:

Creatalicious challenges - Vintage

Bunny Zoe crafts - Vintage

Papertake weekly - something new (my TH flower die), something blue (rather obvious hehe)

Allsorts - paper piecing

This week at Allsorts the theme is paper piecing, and we once again have the very talented Joanna Sheen as our guest designer. And the winner this week will receive a £10 voucher in Joanna's online shop.

I made a new calender page, using a Lili of the Valley image and I layered the skirt the flowers wrapping and the bows in her hair. I know the bottom picture has horrible lighting but it shows the layers =)

Other challenges:

Papertake Weekly - something blue

Craftalicious - Pearls and swirls

A pocket full of posies - glitter

DCD Christmas Club GDT

I'm guest designing for the DCD Christmas Club this week and the theme is Snowmen.

If you haven't checked out this challenge site it's about time you do. Great DT work and fun themes. Hop over there right now, why don't you.

I used this Penny Black image which worked perfectly. The card is a bit too simple for my style though, I'm not entirely satisfied with the silver ribbon. Maybe I'll reassemble or add some embellishments or something... But it would work perfectly for the Penny Black at Allsorts challenge with the theme Glitter and Glitz :)

I made a bookmark distressed with Weathered Wood, Victorian Velvet and Crushed Olive, masked with a TH miniswirl and sprayed with perfect pearls. Image is an Elisabeth Bell clearstamp.

Not much today, I'm building a pyramid strawberry land in the garden. So I don't know how many of you guys I'll be able to surf by today, I hope you will forgive me if I don't.

Anyway, I can show you another wall in my craftroom today. I got this post sorter from a second hand store and it works nicely for my 12x12 paper. And on the shelf above I thought I'd store my cards, need more baskets already =)

Penny Black at Allsorts - Glitter and Glitz

There's time for another monthly challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts and the theme for August is Glitter and Glitz.

I really love this image and I coloured it with distress ink Victorian Velvet and Forest Moss. Papers from TH and then I went mad with the stickles. It is - as most of you know already - a hopeless mission to show bling properly on photos but I can assure you it's really sparkly =).

It also works for Sir Stampalots challenge Bring the Bling.
