new beginnings

Just a short note to show my contribution to the LOTV challenge New beginnings. I totally love this stamp and intend to use it all the time =), it's just perfect and so quick to colour.

Glittering gift box

Back now from a wonderful Christmas dinner with the English society here in town - rosted potatoes, sausage rolls, turkey, trifle, christmas crackers and caroling - the whole nine yards =). It was fantastic and I'm so greatful I get to experience it up here in the cold north.

Today I have a gift bag made from a free template at My time made easy to fit their challenge at the Paper Craft Planet.

DCD - How girly can you get

Last DT mission for Die Cut Dreams for this year because this challenge will run for two weeks and by then we're entering 2011 =). The theme is How girly can you get?

Well, my youngest is very girly so anything made for her would be perfect. I made a wallet for all her photos and notes that she has at school using a paper I bought in Ullared this summer, and a mini Magnolia image.

Allsorts -anything goes

Really easy challenge at Allsorts this time - and it will run for a fortnight =). It's Anything goes at Allsorts over Christmas so what are you waiting for?

I made a Christmas ornament, using a Tilda image, embossed cardstock and crumbled the doily slightly to give it some more life. It will be lovely in the Christmas tree if the cats don't eat it...

DCD - fairies

Morning, it's Monday so it's time for a new challenge over at Die Cut Dreams. This week it's fairies and when I saw this little fairy mouse in the candy bowl I just knew I had to use it. It's from a Panduro cut out sheet so I haven't done any colouring myself, except for the sentiment that I stamped on the image. The backing paper is also Panduro, and the string! Lovely company that =)

Allsorts - Last minute Christmas

This week at Allsorts the theme is Last minute Christmas and so I found it fitting to show you one of my bottle tags. It's an easy to make tag that you can hang on the neck of a bottle or on a door handle or on your nose or where-ever =). I used a spellbinder die as a template to make the shapes on the top and bottom of the tag.

DCD - seeing triple

Welcome to yet another challenge at Die Cut Dreams. This time the theme is Seeing triple -make three different simple cards. I'm not sure my projects classify as "simple" but they have the same theme all three of them. It's a very summery theme but I just had to get away from all the Santas and raindeers =). Images from LOTV and paper from TH.

Allsorts - light up the night

Morning,
it's my turn to host the Allsorts challenge this week and since I live way up in the northern parts of absolutely nowhere ;) winter brings serious darkness here. So I need your help to light up the night. Use a candle or other light on your cards or projects and dazzle me. It will warm my soul - and frozen fingertips. I used an image from LOTV and made the light bulb extra warm and glowing =).

SFTW - recipe

This fortnight there's a recipe challenge at Stampin for the Weekend so sharpen your scissors =). The recipe is: Two circles, two squares, button and bling.

The image is a freebie from here, the patterned paper is home made using the Vintage garden stamp set from Stempelglede, distressed with Vintage photo. The camera did of course ignore most of the bling but it's very glittery around all edges, trust me.

Penny Black at Allsorts December challenge

December 1 and serious countdown to Christmas now =). It's also time for another monthly challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts and the theme for December is Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Pop over to the challenge blog and check out the stunning DT creations and the amazing prizes at stake.

I chose this gorgeous little hedgehog admiring his decorated Christmas tree, paper is from the Linen Closet paper pack and the ribbons took forever to get the way I wanted them =).

DCD candy/sweets

This week at Die Cut Dreams the challenge is Candy/Sweets. Loads of ways to interpret that =).

I made a gift box and the candy is stamped, glossed and I put a large glue dot under to make it bulgy. Template for the gift box I found here.

Allsorts monochrome

This week at Allsorts the challenge is monochrome (to use only one colour on your creation, it can be various nuances but only one main colour).

My colour is green and it's a card I made for my daughter's boyfriend who turned 20 recently. I really like the accordion flower, so easy to make and such a lovely effect - especially on male cards to get away from all those girly roses =). I put glue on the ends of the string, rolled it around a stick and let it dry to get those curly ends. Distress ink used: Forest Moss.

DCD anything but a card

This week at Die Cut Dreams the theme is Anything but a card. And... well... this is not a card =)

I used a piece of stone I found this summer by the ocean. Glued a candle holder, fastened a tag and some flowers and I have a living room decoration =).

Golden card

Yesterday I went to a craft fair and sold all my match boxes, loads of gift boxes and most of my Christmas cards. What was I thinking? Now I have no cards for myself...
And I promised to be on the Christmas market my sister has arranged the first weekend of December...
And the expansion to WoW comes out December 7...
I'm guessing it will be slightly hectic during next week =)

So I've started building up my Christmas card stock with this project.

Challenges:

Totally Tilda - gold and glitz

DCD Christmas club - anything goes

Simon says - sparkle

A spoon full of sugar - distressing

Just Magnolia - white plus one

Allsorts lace, ribbon, charm

This week at Allsorts we have a recipe for you: lace, ribbon and charm. I took a horrible picture of this cause the sign has a very pretty ribbon bow on top but I managed to cut that out of the picture...
It's a wooden sign for the downstairs bathroom, using a Meljen image, coloured in Pumice stone, some flowers - the newspaper one is home made - some punched paper lace from MS and a pretty little angel charm.

SFTW Winter

This fortnight at Stampin for the Weekend the theme is Winter.

I solved that by making a card using the adorable penguin digi images from digistamp boutique. I embossed some snow flakes on the TH paper and the alphabet is banana split. Distress ink: Tumbled glass.

DCD using staples

This week at Die Cut Dreams we want you to use staples on your work. And staples really are the coolest thing cause you can use them all over the place AND they fasten things at the same time =).

I made this year's family wish list to hang on the fridge. Stamped and distressed background, TH flower die (using tulle every other layer) and the alphabet Supermarket.
